Doesn't work, I've tried it.Originally Posted by rovercare
The later Rangie have wider front suspension arms as well as the link to the chassis is bigger as well (86 onwards) Also there's an extra bolt on the swivel probably because the old ones are both undersizer and come loose all the bloody time. I always had issues with that on my 83, even loctite didn't help
You could make it work, but I prefer the later 'flat' style housing anyway and worth the extra effort to retro-fit them.
Plus IMO those awful drain plugs on the old 2 doors are shocking and are near impossible to undo after a few rock scrapes

They all can be retrofitted, but yea its a little dicking around, and yea i've done a few
Anything is possible, especially on a Rangie and a few beersOriginally Posted by rovercare

88 and 91 are same model diffs... if they are not the flat bottom housings i wont be interetsed at all and yes i will not pay 3400.Originally Posted by aquarangie
Yes I forgot, he has built up a 4 door Rangie ute and had the maxi's in that (i think it was a 88 model) so disregard the last couple of comments.Originally Posted by Grimace
Personally, I think $2500-2800 is a fair price for the pair complete.
