    Very disappointing to see such issues with what SHOULD be a well presented and reliable vehicle. Obviously things have gone backwards at Toyota over the recent years. I reckon the last 'decent' Cruiser was the HJ62 series, it may have had leaf springs and drum rear brakes but that 12HT turbo engine and auto trans was a gem, and I have seen many WELL over 500,000km.Rust however was a real problem

    Just prepared a 745,000km example for a touring trip around the country, it'll do it without ANY doubt. Old school is best with these vehicles.

    Oh well, back to admiring and working on real vehicles; day in, day out
