Sorry to see your damage mate, that will be an economic write off for sure. As Tombie and the others said, start removing the bits you want, before you negotiate to buy the 'wreck' from them.

You blokes have me worried now, in the last month for its 10 year birthday celebrations I got the airbags replaced, cooling system completely replaced, new wiring harness, new seals through the gearbox and as I said last week the new Michelins went on.

If you are handy with a spanner i'd be inclined to buy it back and then fix it up, its all pretty much replaceable panels bar the roof.

if you think that' good you should try installing some speed holes !

initial assessment is fix rather than write off so lets see where it goes from here.
The bloke led me down to where the other 30 or so cars that have come in this morning were and some of them looked like they had been hit with an IED, all the plastic trim shattered, every window gone and bonnets and roofs that appear to have sustained shrapnel damage.
To be honest the Landy looked in good shape compared to every other car there.
The fella said he had written up close to half a mils worth by 10 this morning

My mates 2 month old Rangie Sport looked like that plus broken windows, torn off side mirrors and holes through the plastic trim after the recent Melbourne storm. He is now fighting the insurance company as they want to repair it!

Looking at the photo, I would be highly surprised if your car will be repaired - it all depends on the insurance amount.

If you had just put new rubber on a few days ago. it would be worth a call to tyre joint to see lf the original tyres were still around. For $10 per wheel, you can get them swapped back if needed.

unfortunately Erich the original XPCs had been on since new 165,000 kms ago and they had to be torn off the rim, they broke the machine at the tyre shop.

I'd again suggest people ask their insurers about the added option of salvage insurance.............. whereby you pay slightly more, but you get the vehicle back at no cost if it is written off.

Could save a few tears.
