The problem is, everyone is too set in their ways, they don't wants to do anything about it. Everyone is saying "Lets worry about it later" it will be too late then.

I grew up on a farm as well, my dad still farms vegetables under irrigation. He has changed all his ways, went to minimum tilling which saves money, time, fuel and water, gives better yields. He tried convincing the local farmers in the valley to change their ways as well...but no they are too set in their ways. The figures and stats are there to show that it works season in, season out...but yet it still isn't enough. They simply cannot be bothered to make a change, they just keep doing the same as previous generations have.
The ironic thing is...you are very pro, in moving towards a better earth, clean energy etc, yet share this, on a forum, which is solely based on wasting fossil fuels, i.e., you drive your disco for pleasure, if you felt strong enough about making a difference, I'm pretty sure you'd park the wheels up and jump on the "shanks pony"

Seems like your not bothering either, as its a simple, small sacrifice, on your behalf to do your bit

You don't have to be dirty, unwashed and bearded to be a greenie. You can enjoy driving a Land Rover without being a redneck. You can reduce your impact on the environment without living in a cave full of bat guano. In fact you can even post your thoughts on this forum without agreeing with what someone else says. Its the interesting things that make life worth living. Enjoy your favourite mythconceptions, people!

Nothing to do with it, lots of people like to rabbit on, about doing our bit, evil power stations, etc, yet burn fossil fuels sheerly for pleasure....

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against wasteing fuel for you own selfish enjoyment, actually its one of my fav things, but not keen on people who like to promote BS things like earth hour, argue the "green" point of view, yet still unnecessarily waste fossil fuels themselves, kinda the heights of hypocrisy?..........not that I really care at all, but I am bored

Keep the lights on....it helps gaurentee my employment

Lucky we agree on one thing, earth hour is a waste of time.

Another theory someone hit me with was that we all should all use as much fossil fuel as possible, so no future mongrel can! Enjoy your fossil fuel addiction while it lasts. I will keep a lamp lit in your honour.

God will restore CO2 levels to normal. After all, He created the entire universe less than 10,000 years ago; He will fix it. Alpha and Omega.

Sorry that was an attempt at sarcasm but I think I'm beyond all that.

see we need a sarcasm font.

preferabley one that glows in the dark so when the greenies enforce earth hour on a more regular basis we can still read it.
