    One for the 4BD1 boys

I'll let you guess what the combination mass is May be a frag over 3.5 tons

Would you believe it just walked away at idle No slip of the clutch or shudder etc. It just lent over gently with the torque and took up. Try this with a Nisota. Would be still down there spinning tyres I pulled this for 5 kms on black soil and had a steady climb with the odd sharp pinch all the way.

The round bales are typically 300-400kg.

Close on a four ft Add a bit for the five ft width and constant density + dry matter.

    This was heavy to pull

Were at it again I really need a Unimog here Or portals with 42" tyres under the 120

Was traveling the golden highway and found a farmer in big strife! The clutch had failed in his harvester on a steep hill. I couldn't leave him there as was very unsafe.

It was bloody heavy to pull. The 120 broke traction on the tar in second low at one stage. I was terrified something was going to snap. In low range there is so much torque on the drive line at 1800 RPM and 12 psi boost. Once we got rolling I was able to hold a nice steady 22 kmh in forth gear. Was not safe to go any faster.

Got me buggered how the strap held

Was hard to take pics so this is all I have.

    Go the big Landy.
When I was working for a farmer he tried pulling(helping) a roadtrain full of canola up a hill on the farm. The truckie had missed a gear tried backing down but lost the back trailer.
Boss decides his brand new patrol ute is up for the tug,he did manage to get the roadtrain mobile, the 4.2 turbodiesel excelled itself. In the process he fried the crutch, flywheel and input bearing. He wasnt happy when he got no warranty, operator abuse

The 4BD1 is good in this part, has so much torque in the low revs you can save the clutch unlike the higher revving rivals My main concern is blowing diffs or twisting the Rover tooth picks off
