    crook 5th gear

    Friend is looking at a defender ute, 1993 2.5 diesel, with a crook 5th gear. He wants to know how much to fix, or buy another used box in good working condition.

    As I have a 5 speed LT77 for sale from a 1985 RRC, does the LT77 fit this 1993 diesel Defender? Is bell housing the same, or interchangable?

    Hhhhmmmm i would like a 5 speed, much better than the earplugs of now . The gearing in series are terible with the holden..

    1969 LWB S2a yellow, gone
    1972 LWB S2a 5 DOOR wagon coming & GONE
    1973 LWB S3 green Sadly GONE
    1977 LWB S3 tabletop building
    1992 disco BOINGY BOINGY

    My landrover doesn't leak oil , IT SWEATS POWER

    There are no five speed boxes easy to fit. The reasonable choices are overdrive, rangerover diffs (not so simple if you have a salisbury rear axle) or high speed transfer case.
