    Tag along to the Cape

    Is anyone going to the Cape in June, our tag along organiser has just informed us they can't go due to family health problems...Gaz & Georgie.

    Maybe, we're heading north from Melbourne for a loop of Aussie as soon as we can get the truck built up. I only bought it yesterday so to be on the Cape in June might be a challenge for us.

    hmmm, so what was this tag along organiser charging?

    ....I've got no money, but I do have leave in June / July, and a double diff-locked, winch equipped Defender with a paramedic driver for peace of mind.

    It was a tongue in cheek offer, I reckon you guys will do fine, and will enjoy it more accomplishing it under your own enterprise. Sorting out and completing a big trip is quite satisfying.

    After posting that comment I clicked on a couple of tag-along tour links at the top of the page (thanks to Google ads) and was surprised at how expensive they are.

    I'm in talks at the moment for a Cape York trip next year, so will look forward to your trip report.

    Go by yourselves,you should be OK.
    We have done the trip twice the last few years by ourselves,one vehicle,no problems.
    Do a search on here there is heaps of info about the Cape.
