You may have seen the video of yesterday's abortive Alice Springs balloon launch by NASA.
The vehicle tipped over by the balloon's gondola was a Discovery 1.

Watched the video yesterday.
Didn't they go on about a lot of guff before they got to the Land Rover.
we have a few people from alice on here anyone get the number plate state
I never thought to look. I saw it on the news in Darwin but I think yesterday's NT newspaper had a rear close-up of the Disco on its side. I've tossed the paper out so I can't check.

If it a red on white NT plate it will be numeric only (no letters).
I don't remember all the plate numbers of the Discos I used to service, but there is a better than fair chance that I know the owner.
It is an NT vehicle, but I dont know th owner. I guess it will end up at the auctions or in the paper.
