I got my last ones ( Rheem brand I think ) at Bunnings, but they chop and change their suppliers.
Aussie Disposals should stock them.
I'm sure I've seen them in SuperCheep Auto too.
Forget Ray's Outdoors they only have cheap rubbish nowadays.
I've just spent 30mins searching for UV stable 20l water containers (jerry can shape) with no luck, the elcheapo plastic ones are everywhere, but no UV stable ones.
Anyone know of a place to get these buggers
Baz.
Cheers Baz.

I find the ex army water jerrys are hard to beat.
I have one marked 1972 and is still going strong.
The newer army ones are not as thick is the very early ones.
Lotzalandies put me onto a good local supplier of new unused army jerrys marked 2006 from a place in Nowra called jennings Mc Donald for $22.50 each.
my army ones are mounted to the sides of verious vehicles left out in the sun for years without effects.
The only fault I can find with the army ones is the caps can split with hard use.
They also seem to have little bad taste effect on the water stored inside them.
Thanks fellas, those stainless ones look good, but a tad expensive

I understand from the local ARB people (Canberra) that Bushranger are no longer making/importing the ss jerry cans. They had to get me one down from Brisbane. They are expensive but, hey, if I was prepared to settle for second best, I'd be driving a Tojam instead of a Defender.
Cheers

I was thinking about making up some alloy water cans from 1.6 sheet as i busted the 15L plastic jobie i had over the anzac weekend .
Them staino ones look sexy but i cant see the value and id say they would be of asian make .
