Caravan advice needed, 16' van Ford Falcon towing

sounds good for the falcon then, I found a BA cooler on ebay for $185, DIY fit, has a thermo switch too.

I hope I can get away with the 1600kg tow bar the 2300kg is around $500, (ebay) :eek:

still a bit of haggling going on for the van, should know by tomorrow :)

Change the oil and the strainer. I know the owners hand book says you never have to but this is complete marketing BS. It usea a funny expensive Ford spec. oil. Bastard.

You need a substantial oil radiator for the trans fitted before the radiator trans oil cooler, and one for the engine oil. You should also fit a transmission oil filter. The remote filter from a Chrysler Slant Six is good.

This electronic auto is good whilst it is going but have a lazy $3,000-$4,000 handy if it poops itself, and it will if you tow heavy and hot with it. Get those coolers and filter.

Make sure the original in radiator "cooler" is retained.Its there for a VERY GOOD REASON.
It heats the tranny oil too.
