Well, that was a rather dour affair...

Spain 1 - 0 Netherlands after 118 minutes of playing
    • 13 yellow cards (8 from Netherlands)
    • 1 red card (Netherlands)
    • 28 fouls from Netherlands, 19 from Spain
    • Overly officious refereeing
    • Wild flurries of thespian antics encouraged by the cards
    • A few outbursts of football.... :|
    Thank goodness for Rugby...

Your too fast. I was about to congratulate NZ on being the 2010 world cup champions. The only unbeaten team in the competition.

With plenty of outbursts of drop the hankie...how the hell can that be the "world game"? I'm sorry, but to see grown men fall down in excruciating agony, when all they did was trip on a blade of grass, disgusts me no end. Bring on the RWC in NZ next year....

What annoys me is that the kids watching the "drop the hankie" theatrics will see it being vindicated by the yellow cards and therefore think it is sweet to flop...

On the basis of what we've seen the last few weeks I think FIFA have to bring the integrity back in so many ways - it is all a bit of a sad joke at the moment.
