Gary,
I thought you were just trying to reduce your fuel consumption, hitching a ride with Rick's Defender!

G'day Garrycol
I run an 85 model RRC lucas electronic 35DM8 Dist with vacc, carbied on duel fuel, and it's timed at 8deg BTDC vacc disconnected with a strobe light, runs well, Muddy has 54 V8 county on duel fuel and runs the same, or 9deg beforemine starts OK on gas, but if you run a GT40R with the lucas amplifier you will have probs as the GT40R is to high a voltage for the amplifier, coil ran HOT, I had to go back to a Lucas coil it runs cool now.
cheers
Thanks Uncle Ho - my dizzy is a holden bosch dizzy with the rover gear. Not sure what the ignition module is. I am going to retime to between 6 and 9 degrees and see how we go. From what I have found should be a good compromise.
Will also be good when 91 Ron unleaded is phased out soon in NSW and is replaced by E10 and I will I have fill with 95 Ron Unleaded.
