How do you guys get such a good photo of the moon. I was up at Lake Eyre (Muloorina) during the eclipse, and after several attempts to get a good photo I gave up. I need some "technical" advice.

I was prompted by this thread to rush outside with the hastily tripod mounted camera and the remote trigger and fluked a couple of OK shots. If I'd had time i might have set it up slightly better.

The RAW image was fiddled with software in the virtual darkroom: the contrast and brightness and some sharpening was done it was then cropped and posted. As much as can be done in the eleven minutes between taking it and posting.
