ether way nothing we say it going to change anything, i am a P plater and do have full 24/hr exempt, but i still dont own a v8 as i couldent aford the fuel to it, and the insurence would kill me,

i do have a few mates that are right into modding cars and have lil datos with 2L engines in them and absolutely fly, enter drift comps with them as they handle so well, all because the power to weight is so good, and there alowed to drive them???

but i have to go thur a load of garbage to get a thing saying i can drive a v8 with the same power as my td5??

Exclamation I am not going down without a fight

    The continuing saga.........
I have received yet another letter from the minister for road safety in reply to my continual correspondence (I am usually on the receiving end of ministerial complaints in my regular job so it is with some pleasure that I am the complainant for a change). I now have an acknowledgement from the minister that "low powered v8 petrol engines" could potentially be exempt from the definition of a high powered vehicle and this has been brought to the attention of the Department for Transport Energy and Infrastructure.
(Hmmm the very department I work for as a subcontractor LOL)
OK so I have not won yet but I am getting there. My daughter is going to be on her "L's" for a while yet so there is not immediate problem as it is fine for her to learn in a V8, even sit for her test but if she passes she can not drive it home!
Please how about a few more LRv8 owners get on the band wagon and let the minister know what ridiculous rules they have endorsed.

    Cheers
