    How good is maxi me????

I recently leant my double flare kit out to help a fellow Landy owner in distress.
He returned the kit on saturday telling me he broke one of the forms. Was most appologetic and offered me $20 to get a replacement.

The borrower of the said tool went off to place a few bets.
I gave the broken form to Lindsay, telling him that I was to get $20 compensation to buy a new one.Offered him the $20 to try make one on the lathe knowing a single form would be near on impossible to accuire.
Lindsay almost ran to the shed, basically he never moves much at all from his computer.
Anyhow,20 minutes later, including blueing the form he presented me with this.

    Its perfect in all dimensions!!!!
When Mal returned I told him Lindsay had something to show him that would blow him away.
He was so impressed he handed Lindsay $35.00 for his work.

Pardon my ignorance, I'm assuming Mal and Lindsay had something to do with LR diff locks or axles or portals? serious question.

    cheers, DL

    Ta,

can understand how happy you were when he got off the comp. IME kids just need some sort of encouragement to show their real talents and not be bored.

    cheers, DL

Mate, that's spooky how good that copy is. That's quite a talent he has and I think he could seriously make a handy bit of income on the side making special orders and custom built tools. You must be proud - chip off the old block, is he?

impressive... shame you're on the other side of the country or I'd be asking for a quote to make up some HDPE bumpstops for the HRA lift kit
If your boy is interested and can source HDPE billets over there I'd be keen to talk anyway.
    Cheers, Paul.
