Offer help, to a couple of Russians who are having a bad day?? don’t be silly you would probably get shot. or if the 2 other drivers have more influence ( money) you could fined your self being charged and having to pay for everyone’s damages.

Yes as Clean 32 indicates, depends who gets hit and their social status etc if you hit "mafia" car expect to pay and pay and pay and pay etc.
Heard stories of in moscow, you jaywalk and get hit by a car they will not even stop, no human rights there
They also have lanes the middle of the roads where the bigwigs can put on Blue lights and go much fster in the middle of the orad, also for president and prime minister
Heard that one time someone (mafia type opps sorry bussinessman) had actually copied a number plate of the then president Putins car and used this to be able to drive everywhere fast, only got caught because of one of Putins bodyguards saw the "car" in the street and knew it was in the presidental garage!!!!!!

Near the end notice how the pedestrian gets hit crossing the multi lanes, then gets up and keeps walking.Not sure if he is rushing to get to his lawyers or leaving the scene of the accident in case the KGB gets him

Moscow is a funny city the way its laid out. think of a cart wheel with 3 rings, inner is the golden ring ( big bucks) then the Garden ring ( so called because if you lived adjacent to the garden ring you had to have a garden so it looked nice), then the outer MDK Ring, ( read slalom course) the spokes are the roads to another city Like Leningrardski, Yaroslavlski etc etc. Most of the other roads are more like goat tracks.

35000 road deaths a year not including pedestrians.
If Putin or any other high type drives past in there motorcade, all traffic is stopped and your cell phone will not work. Lesser government types get a blue light on there roof and drive like madmen, its your fault if you get hit.
The Head of the GAI in Moscow ( traffic cop) was driving drunk and hit a pedestrian and killed her.. the victims family was ordered to pay all costs including the cost to repair the 2 month old A8. That was until the local news papers got onto it. personal intervention from the Mayor of Moscow to sort that one out.

Oh I was originally going to say, there are subways all over the place, J walking is a rather large fine by Russian standards, the guy who got hit would want to take off so he didn’t have to pay for damage to the car.

KGB officers were made redundant just after the second default, so they became the Mafia. Now days its the FSB or fisssbbbuuurrrrr. it pays to get to know your assigned fissbuurrr officer and get her plasted ever now an again. Makes life easier when you blunder Like giving the movie wolverines to the local uni etc

It's interesting to see how many accidents are the result of the red-orange-green traffic light operation. A lot of people start moving off from the lights before they actually get a green light and anyone trying to run the orange in the other direction smacks into them.

I had a mate who was cleaned up by a car running an orange light this way and since then I never try to roll through the lights before I can see whether the other cars have actually stopped.
