Lucy - no idea. We do have aslippery driveway so thats a possible culpritry, though also the dog is predisposed to the condition (luxating patella on the other knee, great).

Just hoping for the best eh !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    OK so the saga continues.

On Saturday night (of all nights) the dog managed to rip off its lef bandage. You know, the one there to stop it licking it's wound.

So we had to go to the damn "vet hospital / 7 day clinic" to get it re-done didn;t we.

Only after the 30 minute drive to get there they decided they wouldn't rebandage it, and instead fitted our girl with the collar of shame...

    .

which she does NOT like. Oh and we have to keep the other dog seperated from here as well to make sure she doesn;t lick the wound as well. Not easy - we are running out of "places".

So after a day or so of this, we went to the vet (scheduled pos op check up at least) and he siad that we could try a sticking type bandage over the wound, instead of the collar. He did that fdr us and sprayed the bandage with "stuff that dogs hate the taste of which will stop her from licking at it".

Didn't even last til dinner time. So now the girl has her collar back on and is very unamused.

It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Glad to hear the dog is on the mend, we found out my dog, Cassie, which i bought when i was UNI in 1999 has an agressive cancer growing in her mouth, nothing we can do for her except wait for the inevidable. I love dogs they are worth ever dollar and bit of heartache they sometimes cause.

I used the collar on my Pitbull when she had her op as a basketball hoop!
Used to throw doggie treats in!

She loved it tho, he would sneak up on the cat from behind, lick his tail then plant the collar opening on the ground and wait for the cat to go spastic at her and try and scratch her thru it!!

    Cheers
