    Luxury accommodation

There would be nothing nicer of having a nice shower and then a good rest after a good a good day in the sports arena
If it not improve in the next few days this will be the accommodation for the athletes in the Commonwealth games.
I guess that our Villawood facilities are better than this

All they need is a good clean, underneath all that its easy to see that the facilities are pretty good, as members of the team said on the news tonight. Its not good though that they were allowed to get to that state in the first place.

That really nothing that a few villagers carrying Gernies and Karchers can't clean up.
I'd be more worried trying to sleep in there with the fear of the roof falling down on top of me.

As on Indian official said, " Indian standards and Western standards are different."
May be one of the many a sacred cow came and **** in there? hence the mess

its irrelevant if western standards are different to Indian Standards..... its an incredibly poor image for the country to show given the international attention that is to be focused on them shortly.....

I think the money spent over there building all this would have been better spent feeding their poor, instead of the rest of the world sending their money over to feed the Indian poor. India seems to have money for that and the cost has been a great blow out from original costings. I'm sure their people in the slums with think it's all worthwhile.

It appears the pictures were taken pre-handover.
You be surprised what properties look like before a builders clean has taken place.
Plus, India is in their monsoon season that brings torrentail rains that we just struggle to relate to and they had to build in that.
    No easy task.
Perhaps someone should have researched the timing of the event but they did have 7 years to get it right.
The bridge collapse is an issue but perhaps in their haste the concrete had not cured before the props were pulled.
Sounds like I am on their side, realistically I am just trying to get a different perspective and hope no one gets hurt and it all works out.
