i think for the aus one they need to have ppl that we are familar with and yes they need to be different an unique i hate how they try to write the script for every thing they say i get the impression when watching the pommy one that alot of what they say comes naturally too them.when they are doing top gear challenges they dont need to copy the poms because we have all seen that before we want to watch something different and preferably unique to australia

I thought they did a pretty good job of it, at least it was watchable.
I think rather than compare it to top gear uk, we should be comparing it to other australian motoring shows on free to air.

Absolutley love TOP GEAR! ... My IQ harddrive is almost completely full because of it, much to the dismay of my wife, she cant record days of our drearies or what ever its called ... Aint that a shame!
HOW SCARY WAS THE FACE OFF BETWEEN THE LITTLE RED JAFFAS AND THE RHINO!!!!!!!
Im going to reserve my opinion of the show until they are in the studio and a couple of episodes in, with the last 2 seasons, everything they said and done seemed forced and poorly acted ... though the quality of the cars and cinematography was still outstanding ... The addition of Shane(Fat bruce) is a great move, he's gonna add some raw ocka in your face entertainment ... I like that in the first ep, they let ***** and a couple other expletives make it into the final cut, IMO it Ozzyises the feel of the show.
It might be just me, but im HANGING to see the Retro Blue Meanie out on the track! ... Like a fat kid out front of a candy store with a 5'er waiting for the shop to open!
