Saw the end of qualifying today, good to see a few of the guys who dont feature in the top 10 all that often. Bummer that Ingall wasnt in it, that would be the second time in 18 trips to the mount that he hasnt made the top 10.
Bring on race day, he'll be there.
This is all very depressing.
We took our kids down to Dubbo last week (to go to the zoo). As we left I had to decide ... Head south to Bathurst and set up the camper trailer for a week, call in very sick and then watch the race OR head north towards home and work as the holidays were over.
I made the wrong decision!!!!!!
To top it off, I'm taking my kids to their soccer break up on Sunday!!! No, it's not a morning affair or a late afternoon BBQ - 10am-3pm!!!
Damn kids are killing my Bathurst experience!
But there will always be next year ...
My wife wouldnt bother asking me to do anything like that, everyone knows what the answer would be if I was asked to do anything other than watych the race on race day. Unless im forced to work that is, but even then i'd volunteer to man the station and watch it there :D
Now if you want to watch those Torana's,type in Peter Brock bathurst into You Tube & you will find some great vision of Brocks hot laps at the mountain in the A9X.
Don"t forget to turn up the volume.:D:D
Another one that is on there somewhere is the in car camera footage in the Nissan Skyline? with Glen Seton at the wheel sliding around at a wet Bathurst.
And there's many other clips of the good old days at Bathurst on You tube...
