Thread: What I did today while watching Bathurst...

Pretty good day today - Holden came in 1, 2, 3 & 4 in the big race. Thought I'd do something while watching, so pulled a rim off the RRC to clean it up. Stripped the paint from around the outside and polished it, then painted the rest a dark metalic charcoal, followed by a few coats of clear over the whole lot. The paint is a lot tougher and thicker than I thought, and it took a few coats of paint stripper to get it all off, but I got there in the end. Took about 4 hours or so, but came up well. Only problem I've got now is that the other 4 need doing... As a bonus, the gate keeper agreed that the Rangie needs a bigger set of tyres . Great day all 'round! As per the phrase "Without pictures it didn't happen", I have attached a before and after shot. Once I get the others done and a new set of AT's on it, I'll put up some pics of the beast.

Yeah, you are spot on, but I doubt the 'trouble in strife' would go for that at the moment. Just got her to agree to some new tyres, so I better not push my luck...
