Are there not legal issues with strengthening a chassis?

Ive abused plenty of vehicles without failures.repaired loads of these for other people.
recently the rta organised a educational chat for the depo workers----weights/measures and road rules.
what realy happened was they had seen our new trucks and knew there was no way that these are legal.they could have sat on the road and handed out fines.---the same thing i see on the pacific hyway every day.
one neighbour recieved a $1800 fine for loading a tractor in a tipper to go between farms.it would have cheeper to drive the tractor on the road.
cracked chasis and suspension mounts common as.
heard lots of stories of rodeo being tempory braced to get them home.
but mostly from farmers towing grain silos and irrigation around uneven ground.i seen some shocker towbars with chain and reinforcments added.
even my 1600 KG tow bar fitted falcon wagon handled a 3 ton trailer--for 6 months.
our fire vehicles do very little work and you have to carefully inspect these for cracks.we have near 20yr olds with 20 000KM and most have had crossmember replacments.these operate at near 90% of GVM.
new trucks we now have second chasis to spread the loads.and a please dont drive off road.
Well if you purchased accessories from a supplier and they failed in themselves then you'd approach the seller/fitter about the issue. In this case the dealer purchased the accessories and fitted them so the issue passes from the supplier (except if the part itself is an issue) to the dealer as the vehicle purchaser has paid the dealer for the vehicle, with dealer supplied & fitted accessories.
the wife reminded me of the ads for these vehicles flogging the fact they can tow 3.5 tonnes, i dont think i would like to tow any where near that amount in weight with these vehicles after seeing this, unless i wanted a banana :wasntme:
the ads used to make me laugh at the 3.5 tonne tow, when land rovers have been able to tow 4 tonne for years :D
I have also seen many post 1985 110 and RRC chassis' warped through normal offroading. (I had to wait 4 months for the machine in the panel shop to be free for my car then another 4 weeks on the machine in panel shop getting straightened, then another 2 whilst it was saddled and engineered)
My father in law got a D1 300Tdi to tow his boat to the ramp as he got pinged for using his Patrol as it was too heavy.
Was a 27 footer on a triaxle trailer, cops were happy with that.
Towed it surprisingly well.
Then I borrowed it when visiting and caught a Disco bug
