Landrover owners club of vic - worth joining?

The Veneto club was a good venue for that.

Short term contact can be through Facebook and answers are prompt.
Lack of a Forum is REALLY poor.
You don't need to attend meetings. Monthly magazine covers all that.
There'd be about a dozen trips on the books, it's a members yahoo groups thing and you'd get a few trips every couple of weeks.
Driver training is great and Club price is good.
Like all clubs- there's dudes and there's dudes...................
Currently it's still worthwhile.

AS an example of a social function the club is having a celebration of the Defender day near Walhalla, on 17/4/16.
Might be a good day to be in the area , see a few Defenders and series.

FYI the LROCV forum is on the way back..... long messy story but it was shut down due to things getting out of control.. they are moving the main club site and the forum to a new host and it apparently will be back up in the next few weeks.

Can anyone speak for the Range Rover Club?

One thing I see about the Range Rover club is its made up of other makes aswell ( sometimes out numbering the range rovers ) where as the Land Rover club is pretty much exclusive to land rovers.

Not that there's anything wrong with either, just if you joined the RR club thinking that it would be full of just rangies you may be dissapointed.

There are definitely many other brands of vehicle than Land Rovers in the club... but the majority would still be Land Rover.

The Rangie club thing up at Narbathong looks interesting, i was thinking about wandering up there if I get the chance...

Yeah I'm going to go along to that, it's what got me wondering about the differences between the two rover clubs

FYI the LROCV forum is running again, but is now a closed (private) forum for club members only. If you are a club member details have been circulated by E-news and will be in the next Review magazine.

That is good news, because even though I was logged in to the LROCV site yesterday, I still couldn't see any mention of the Forum, although I knew it was supposed to be on the go.
The LROCV is definitely worth joining.
