Thread: I am invisible!

Harley riders only have eyes for other Harley riders. Dare I say that club is almost exclusive as the BMW riders.

If I was out there (Being a common Kawasaki Rider) I would have given a nod . The nod is definetly one of the bonds that holds that community together.

My theory is that unless you have ridden a bike for a while you don't really realise how relaxed your head and shoulder checks have become. You start checking for bikes in the blindspots, not just looking for a gap.

Allways got to ride like everyone on the road is out to kill you. No point getting into an argument over right and wrong when you are the one in hospital.

Looks like my Defender was invisible to a few other Defenders over the last two weeks.

Unsurprisingly most wore Qld plates.....




Ron, pushie riders are like your Harley/other bike experience too.

When I used to live the other side of Wallacia I rode the pushie a lot, but back then I was riding a MTB.

MTB's are beneath most roadies to even acknowledge, even though I was riding as fast and as far as they were. (amd i even fitted slicks for the road)

When I was visiting the area and riding the roadie lo and behold most gave the nod.

Go figure.

....and if you think you are invisible on a motor bike, try riding the pushie, you are invisible and are hated by the cages all at the same time

Friendliest riders I ever found were riding through Holland. Almost without exception you'd get a wave back, even from a few Harley guys. The unwritten rule seemed to be - don't wave to scooter riders though. No idea why.

I agree with RisingSun's "No point getting into an argument over right and wrong when you are the one in hospital" completely. They weigh 2 tonnes or more. You weigh 200 or 300 Kgs. You are the one who's going to hurt the most if you make contact. Treat everyone like they idiots and then you're not surprised when they do one of "those" manoeuvres.....

I stopped riding motor cycles regularly more than thirty years ago as I had come to the opinion that every time I went out someone tried to kill me.

I would like to say I feel your pain Ron, but I can't. It's hard to be invisible when your a "fat ***** driving a little gay car".

Perhaps it's time that I should don a scarf to hide my Adam's apple, perm my golden locks and make everyone call me Frankie Doyle, or has that been copyrighted already?

I remember many years ago looking at this sports car ahead with the blonde passenger's hair streaming in the wind. Being a bit partial to blondes, I rode a bit harder to catch up and have a perve.

As I pulled alongside, I looked across and, man, she was a dog!

I mean it. It was some kind wolfhound or something similar.
