It seems the "crystal blue" lenses are completely legal. However personally, I would want to get something in writing from the manufacturers of the blue filters (or the transport department) before fitting them.

FYI - here is the colour temperature scale:

AFAIK - ADRs define "white" light as <6500K (can anyone confirm?).

Many aftermarket/ebay HID bubs or head/spot lights do not comply (i.e. are too blue).

Btw - the QLD modification booklet states:
Blue lights are not allowed on any vehicles except emergency vehicles...

I have no idea about the legalities of it, but I'd assume that the blue lightforce covers are completely legal.

Also I'm mates with the son of the owner of lightforce and he highly recommends the blue lights. Apparently they don't reduce light output that much but reduce glare and are better for driving in rain.

He also swears by using a crossover pattern for the lights, which involves using one spread beam cover and one spot beam cover 'crossing over' each other at a desired distance, for those that are interested.

Light force gave me the exact same info and that is what I did.
    Great performance.

Which ones? Crystal Blue or Snow Blue? Lightforce - Products

I would suspect the snow blue, red and other? colours would be illegal for road use.

It would be nice if lightforce gave that sort of info in the web/pdf specs of the covers.

Lighting comes from ADR13/00 and the colour appears to come from 46/00 (but this ones beyond me) I can work out the light needs to be white but not the definition of white
