The 4bb1 Isuzu manual that I have recently brought give the motor out put as 100 PS maximum . Now I`m thinking they are talking psi here. If that is the case. There must be a certain amount of force to produce the 100 psi. Ethier Kilowatts or horse power. So the question is what is the conversion for the amount of horse power or kilowatt to produce one psi ?All of the conversion charts I have looked at only convert in the same medium as in metric length to imperial length etc.

Well butter my toast. How the hell did the Japs get to use a German abbreviation ? Ok it may be common enough, first time I have come across it though. As they say, you should never stop learning. That make it all so much easier. So 100 PS is 73.55 tyre smoking, stump pulling kilowatts of grunt.

PS is a term that was in favour for a while years ago. I haven't seen it used for quite a while, though.

and I know that 73.5 killer wasps ain`t all that fantastic, but the way it does pull I`m guessing that the torque is not to bad. Which you would expect being a ex truck motor. The next bit I would like to know about my donk is what torque it does have now that I know it has kick you back in your seat amount of kilowatts. No, the PS or kilowatts is for racing. Stump pulling is done by the torque.
