    Bloody boxers

Well I guess it would have had to happen at some stage.

my female boxer was in having surgery today to have a lump removed on her back leg a fraction below the knee.

she has come out of the surgery OK however now has to board at the clinic for 4 days until bandage comes off and then another possible couple of days so the skin flap gets the best possible opportunity to knit before taking her home back to the other dogs..

Poor girl she knew something was up as she shook the whole way to work this morning and usually she travels well, she must of picked it up off me.

The vet is not confident that its going to knit and she may have to go back for skin grafts..

    I feel for you...
Our bitch had complications giving birth and after much poking and prodding by the vet was whisked in for an emergency caesar.
Now we can't get her within a bulls roar of any vet. She can smell them a mile away and will scratch you to pieces if you try and get her through the door. My wife has tried taking her in and getting them to fuss over her with treats etc, but she's wise to it...

Hope she is back on her feet soon. I guess the next thing will be an Elizabethan collar for her to put up with - they are always fun on any dog.

Hope she comes through without any problems Lou.

We're currently looking after the next door neighbour's female boxer while they're away in NZ - great dogs and always good for a bit of entertainment.

This one was "missing" her owners for the first couple of nights, and ended up sneaking into our loungeroom (there's a side gate we leave open for her) and jumping up and curling up on my lap while I was asleep in my chair - the Mrs got a couple of good photos on her phone.
    Cheers .........

I hope all goes well - I know what the worry is like when doggie is not well.

    All the best.
