The Jackaroo has an Isuzu 4ZE1 petrol engine in it, same as my 1990 Rodeo. It's a doozy of an engine. Damn tough reliable Japanese lump, and the torque comes through like a diesel, but chuck a load in the tray and it's like a snail. I'm amazed it pulled the RR.

I filled the back of mine with tools and pulled an 8x5 tandem full of sand at 80kmh max with the foot welded to the carpet

They are actually all good cars depending on their application, price brackets (both new and second hand) and their age.

I'm glad i'm not the only one that found it painful to watch!

I find TGA irritating because it is more or less a carbon copy of TGUK, except with hosts that can't pull off the stunts or humour that the TGUK crew can...
Sure, it's all about entertainment and comedy... But i personally don't find that kind of stupidity funny or entertaining... It is just awkward, hence i changed the channel

much as i like watching anything with cars,
this aussie top gear show is crap.
we are being subjected to pommie dreamp't up bull**** that only non car owners would find funny,
the rest of us that actually own a motor vehicle and use it, be it a kombi or a lamborgini, are embarrassed by the thought that we might be lumped into the generalisation of this program and be as stupid as the program designers.
i seriously have lost any trust in the presenters, as they have accepted money to promote ****.

Yeah, look its light entertainment, the problem is half the population are a bit slow and think it is all real and not staged. Come on, we no Land Rovers leak oil, but to have no oil at all on a car show, with self proclaimed care experts. Yeah of course. Have already had people say well thats a Range Rover for you.
Which half of the population do we all sit in???
Yes it was pretty funny until that spot and then it was cringe factor cause either we had 3 idiots or it was staged.
Oh and half of it is they just do not pull it off like the UK TG crew, now they are legends.
