    Question Defender friendly roadworthies

    Hey all,

    I'm just wondering if anyone has a shop/inspector who is sympathetic to us older defender drivers and our roadworthy needs...???

    I've got a 93' 200 Tdi that I'm looking to sell on, and need the ever dreaded inspection!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Any advice should be given via a PM.

    We don't want any inspector getting checked by overzealous persons in the gummint when they may be no need to do so.

    Some inspectors really don't know some cars and can knock vehicle back for the wrong reasons. I had a Peugeot 405 knocked back as the inspector thought the VIN was put on by a rebirther. It was a dot matrix stamp on the body and was put on at the factory. A Peugeot specialist would have known it was legit.

    Before I bought my County I looked at a few Defenders and a couple had Safety Certificates that must have been issued by the owner's best mate. Well out of order.
