What to do when the dealer can't find the issue with your car which is under warranty

Hi all. I'm after some advice re an issue with my car that the service centre cannot find and my Puma is still under warranty so I obviously don't want to pony up myself.
Three different times I have been at about 3000mtrs altitude in misty/cloudy conditions when I get a loud squeeling screeching sound kind of like a belt slipping. One independant LR specialist has suggested it could be the vanes in the turbo sticking because he had the same issue with his and in the same conditions.
I don't think that LR would like to come on a long drive into the clouds with me and they certainly can't reproduce the same conditions in town so I'm hoping for a bit of advice on how to get it sorted out under warranty.
    Any suggetions are appreciated.

Umm - I think you are overestimating your altitude by just a tad if you are in Australia (your location says Sydney).

Maybe that is why they don't believe you...???

More details on the (realistic) altitude the noise starts and stops at would help.

Don't know Jack **** about Puma's, but if it's a Td5, check to see if it's broken a manifold stud

Matt I would film (most mobile phones have the ability to film).....I filmed a lot of things on mine, cant get any better proof then them seeing and hearing for themselves especially if they are unsuccessful at recreating.

x2. It will certainly give the dealer an idea of what the noise might be.
Turbos on Defenders aren't generally a problem.

Thanks guys; good idea re camera. I'll give it a go. Hopefully they will accept it.
Considering Kosciusko is just over 2200mtrs I guess I got my height a little out. I blame my gps and my complete lack of knowing stuff

maybe the GPS is reading in feet, not metres? you can change it.

Ahhhh... that could be it, I will check. Mind you this is the same gps that a third the way across the harbour bridge suggested I make a left hand turn. To be fair it is programmed for off road use.
