No more extended warranty for Puma Defender?

This is odd. I have just got off the phone from LR customer care and they told me that there has never been an extended warranty offered by LR (from other insurers yes, but not LR) for the puma because it is a commercial vehicle! I also just looked online and could not find where they said it was available. I think what you have linked to applies to every model bar the defender; that's says something.

Just an extra thought on this:

Not that many Pumas have been sold in Australia and it must be a fairly small number of Pumas for which extended warranty has been purchased. It would be an even smaller number that are currently in any extended warranty period (if any), so I can't see how it can be costing LRA too much in claims.

That is correct.
The extended warranty is by Allianze but sold through the LRA network of dealers.
That's what I was told when I got my Puma in June.

Just spoke to Luke and he confirms Allianze has withdrawn their warranty on Pumas. Not happy LR, not happy. :mad:

Very sorry to hear that. :( And very glad I bought mine early.

I have just called Allianze and to ask why the warranty was withdrawn. They said their review of the puma defender under their guidelines found it to be "unacceptable".
Are they the only ones to offer extended warranty for the puma?

It's really really sad becuase the Puma is a nice vehicle and I would love one EXCEPT for the apparently numerous issues......

My Tdi looks better all the time....

How do I find out who will offer warranty? Do I call every insurer out there or is there an easier way?
