She owns it but she doesn't know what it takes to keep it on the road. All she knows is Phillip keeps disappearing to the stables at ungodly hours of the night, coming back all dirty & smelling like "the other woman".

Me too. When I wave and don't get a response, I just tell her that they waved first.

I got the D2 from a dealer and the sales manager informed me that I am expected to wave at all LRs. So I do - 100%.

I saw a failry nice Disco yesterday morning travelling from Devonport towards Deloraine. I'm guessing they came over on the boat and had just left.

Anyway I wave and try to get hold of them on the UHF (channel 18 and 40) - no luck at all.

Oh well - just thought it might have been someone on here......

2 days before chrissie I saw 2 Defers and got 2 waves. I think I made someone's wife's day actually. Her face lit up with a big smile when I waved.
Chrissie eave I saw 4 Defers, and no one waved, not much chrissie cheer unfortunately...must have been busy keeping an eye on the crazy xmas traffic.

I tried waving to LRs in the UK, but there were so many of them I got a sore wrist, plus I was in a Focus so the drivers wondered what I was doing. Then the daughter in law asked why I was being silly...

Sometime ago I was crossing the road at Kew Junction (Melbourne) on foot and waved to a Red fender 110 with white roof and.......got a wave back. Amazing!

Just today was on Western Hwy coming back to Melbourne from Ballarat in a Red Suzuki Swift and just for kicks I waved to a grey fender traveling the other way and.......got a wave back. Awesome!!

    The power of the wave.

I've been teaching my daughter to drive in my D2, and I had to tell her not to wave as it isn't a Discovery thing. Soon we will start driving in the Defender and she will have to learn not only to use a clutch and gears, but to wave to other Defenders too.
