    Selling car...the scams begin...

    Hi,

Have my none Landrover for sale on a web site. Got my first reply and it is scam time....

Dont have 1st message...on phone but here is 'LARRY's:

Thanks so much for your warm reply. No problem i will be paying you
with my PayPal account because it's attached to my bank account and
its safe and very secure way to make payment . If my mode of payment
is accepted just send me your paypal email address,(Paypal ID) so i
can pay in right away. Make sure you get back to me so that i can make
the payment. I have a private courier agent that will come for the
pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. And if
you dont have a paypal account, you can easily go to Welcome - PayPal
and sign up. its very easy. I await your reply asap

NOTE:I have already contact a shipping company that will handle the pick up.

My response...ha ha...o...many details have changed from the original advert...price... vehicle type etc...

Hi. That is great news! I will set up a penmate account straight away.
You are happy to buy the car for the asking price of £9655. Being in
the shipping industry. I can supply shipping at a really good price.
So dont worry about getting your own shipping agent. I can do it for
you! Please confirm that you are buying the truck and your address of
delivery. I can then arrange for my company to supply the car to
you...after payment of course. This is really good luck! Look forward
    to your answer.

    Larry...
i have my own shipping agent that we deliver the car to my home
address as first class treatment.hope to read from you about that and
    proceed with the payment.

    Thanks

    Me...

    Hey Barry,

Come on man, there is no way you can get a shipping agent better than my company. Treatment...my company will wrap this motorbike up in cotton wool and place in a centrally heated cabin.

Please make payment of $15,650 for the bus and give instruct for my company to transport the Horse and cart to your cattle shed.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Larry

I think next you need to ask for his home address for the delivery. If he gives you an address (unlikely) or maybe just an region, you can say your brother lives there too and can collect the payment in cash.

When you're chatting to your new mate next time, can you tell him to stop SMSing me please? I'm flattered he wants to by the D3 but his spelling is atrocious!

I have a car for sale on the web and have had may of those buyers. One gave his location (as they have to put in a postcode to send an inquiry) as a town nearby.
I offered to deliver the car and pick up the cash.
    He insisted on paypal.
I've been ignoring them ever since. Perhaps I should have a little fun. Give them the address of the local car yard or something.

    Hi clubagreenie,

I think I can do something for you. I know a friend who is out of the country...her father was the King/president,overlord of the bank and I am helping her get the money out of the bank. You can pay for my car into the same account. I will then get the money through her......

Please leave your bank details here so everyone can see I am transparent in my dealings with you...and can help you look after your money...'AULRO....the caring for members site'.
