    TOW BALL DRAMAS

I just picked up a new tongue for my tow bar and the supplier fitted the ball for me. However it seems to have been fitted with loctite or similar and I now have to remove ball to insert another bracket. I CAN'T LOOSES IT! How can I get nut loose? Jim

4 feet of water pipe on the 15 inch shifter usually does it for me. Sometimes a stilson wrench may be needed to stop the ball from turning if the thread is tight.

    TOW BALL DRAMAS

Thanks Guys, I got it off. Marvelous what lunch and a five foot long length of water pipe on stilson handle accomplishes.

a small amount of heat, ie quite hot to touch, will break down most Loctite. there are heat resistant loctites but that wouldnt be on your towball.
