Same in SA...:(
NSW personalised plates in black on white on my 12/1988 Perentie - RME088.
Truck purchase present from my lovely wife.
Initial cost for manufacture, provision and administration I understand -the annual $99 fee to keep them however I consider to be a rort.
Black writing on white looks good, but in hindsight black on olive green would look awesome..... :D
Cheers,
Dave
I have a funny feeling that they are all manufactured by PPQ in Queensland and administered by the individual States hence the annual fee.:)
Not plates I see everyday & here are two I saw today. The Beemer is simply "2"

don't laugh!
Its how my mother and my mother in law tells them apart..................
There is a RED110 or110RED on a Puma parked at one of the sites we often work at.
Mine's wearing ALC-308 from back in the days when I was punting an LC Torana with a 308. They're the old non reflective yellow type that originally adorned a VE Valiant. It was near midnight when I spotted the plates and I pulled the old guy in the Valiant over to offer him some coin for them. He didn't want a Zac for them ("They mean nothing to me but if they mean something to you, you can have them" in ethnic accent). Monday morning at the RTA I bought the Val to get it into my name, swapped the plates from my Torana and then sold the Val back to him. :D.
