In WA it's a "one-off" cost to purchase the plates - normal annual rego fees apply thereafter. Initial cost varies depending on the style of plates selected. Can be anything from about $250 to almost $1,000. Mine were just over $500.
The young bloke tried to get "ROTARY" for his RX7 but this was not available, so he has a variation of the word instead.
Can somebody answer this...
In NSW (maybe other states, I don't know) you can get numberplates that are black background with either blue or red rego numbers, there are other colours but these two colours are particularly bad as they are not very legible. I thought number plates had to be legible out to a certain distance. These plates are also smaller than the standard NSW yellow plates.
If a car bearing these types of plates is involved in.....say.....a hit and run, it would be difficult for witnesses to record the cars rego plates.:confused:
