Looking for Defender 110 Driver's Seat

Hi, I am searching for a new or 2nd hand drvier's seat for my 2001 Defender Extreme. The packing in both the back rest and seat base has shifted considerably and makes long distance driving particularly uncomfortable - well more than it normally is in a Defender, anyway!!

I have spoken with British Offroad on the Sunshine Coast and they have DIY kits available for both driver's and passenger seats at around $500 a pop. Any ideas for a cheaper option or new/2nd hand seat would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I had something like this happen a while ago to the backrest. I took it to a local uphulsterer who fixed it and it has been good ever since. Well, the seat cushions have, the frame cracked, but that is a separate issue. I think they have a practical weight limit and certain people who drive my Defender may be over that.

Have sent you a pm re seat bases. Defender seat are actually some of the better standard seats for long distance driving.

There was Scheel in the Markets - but I think I just deleted it in my monthly Markets clearout.

Rovacraft (or your local Rovacraft reseller now) have retrim kits for Defender seats.

Or you can buy them direct from the UK :

Parts & Accessories for Landrover & all 4x4: Defender, Trim

I bought a spanner from this company a couple of months ago, it arrived in 4 days and their prices were pretty good. I haven't compared their trim prices to others though, but have provided the link for illustrative purposes and as a price guide.

As Craig's already noted, Defender seats are very supportive for long distance driving, so retrimming would be my preffered option.
