If anyone needs somewhere to stay for a little while till this is over I have a room here I know its NSW but if you out of your house and need to evacuate for a while then it might be better than a refuge.

    NW BNE

Samford road multiple small landslips and probably a few trees going to come down as well overnight. Bill and Ben sitting in the blocked off lane but not looking backwards. They will end up with surprise.

Wights Mtn road was flooded in many places this morning but better this afternoon. Rain guage emptied 500 mm this afternoon.

And to the D*ckhead that works for COPE on Samford Road at Ferny Grove this morning, your in for a surprise. Wally!

Well I got told to leave work at 11:00 in the city and caught the train home. Water up to the tracks on the bridge at Pine River and we made it across and i thought i was home and done. Train stopped at Burpengary due to flooded tracks. We got put in an evac center as every road went under. The missus was home in Caboolture (a couple of streets back from the river) and got told to evacuate. So cats and valuables in the car and evacuated from home with water coming up the driveway. I spent the afternoon in the shelter and she spent it sitting in a carpark. House ended up OK and didnt go under. I eventually got rescued by the missus when the roads came down and she could get to me. Took me 8 hours to get home from the city.
On a lighter note on the way home i slowed for a water crossing and could see something moving on the road. It was a dirty great carp flopping around in the middle of the road.
Now we just sit and wait to see what tomorrow brings.

It's good that you and Inc are O.K. at the moment, have we heard about Perry (Numpty) etc?

My thoughts are with everyone up that neck of the woods.

    Diana

Numpty is currently stuck in Tenterfield, was on his way back to Brissie from Tamworth, to head over to Hamilton for work. Looking at the news he may be stuck there for a while as Tenterfield is cut off.

Hope everyone in the morayfield and Caboolture flood affected areas got spared or at the very most suffered little inconvenience. I know the poor buggers in the caravan park just off the Caboolture exit on the Bruce hwy suffered a terrible fate ...

Prayers and thoughts go out to all that have lost loved ones and have loved ones missing ... I hope that everyone down stream of this brown monster heading their way stay safe, possessions can be replaced, you can't

    G'day Disco_Balls

I know somebody that lived in that Caravan park in 1974, lost the lot, lucky that they were both at work and their kids were with rellies, with the speed that the water rose today there would have been possible fatalities

I know that Inc and the shop came close to having a bath,he's near the tenpin bowling,we are stuck on the eastern side of the shell servo on Bribie Is Rd but can get to the Island for food and medicine. hope you and yours are safe.

    cheers

To all in Queensland I hope you and yours are safe. We in Perth have little idea of the pain you are going through. Be safe.

To all in Qld my heart goes out to you. My Dad's in Caboolture (Incisor, it's Ed, got the sticker - thanks), but is high and 'dry'. Many not so lucky in those parts. Listening intently tonight to broadcasts about Brisbane. Plenty of loved ones there. I wish I could be there to help in some way.
