Looking at the various news items - is there any road open into Brisbane from anywhere (except the Gold Coast - which is cut off to the south by flooding in NSW)?

Yeah I think the cattle dip that the southerners have to go through is still working as is the border passport control.

Daughter recived a text to move out to higher ground or go to Rellies. Only problem was that there was no high ground to go to and the rellies (thats us at Blackbutt) are isolated as well. Due to my wifes undying devotion to shopping, we have plenty of food.

I must have just got through. Work in the CBD sent us all home at 12.30pm. Exited the highway at Narangba because the signs at Anzac Ave said highway closed at burpengary. Tried a few back ways and all blocked, so after a half hour of driving, crossing creeks up to the floor of the series 3, only to find that the highway was till open. Got to exit at Morayfield road before the closure but still had to try 4 or 5 alternative routes to get to my house as it was blocked in a few places.

The water has all dropped now thankfully so we can get out to buy supplies. I have saved my last bottle of rum in case I need to barter it for food, fuel or weapons Mad Max style!

It is quite funny to see all the boy racers and weekend warriors with their stalled waterlogged pajeros and prados who have tried to go through a half metre of water at 70km/h. People never learn. Saw someone lift a road closed sign out of the way to drive through yesterday.
