Hi Vern,
A friend had DVT in her leg (ankle to hip?) at a tender age of 28. She suspects she may have a genetic blood clotting condition and is being tested for it.
She got it a week (?) after an Africa-Australia flight and caught it relatively early (pain in the leg that wasn't helped by pain killers). She responded well to warfarin, and is now off it after several months of treatment.
No clots, and no real problems after treatment, AFAIK. She's been very careful since and wears compressions stockings etc on all flights.
I hope your treatment goes well. Best of luck!
Bojan

, i think i would end up sacking him
, was also on tablet medication (warfrin). But months of blood tests & seeing my doc regularly gave me the confidence to just move on.
Better watch what I say now when I have to call the ED nurses to organise scans...
