I filled out a survey a couple of weeks ago on this, from a link in another thread. If some one tells me this is a different survey, I will do another survey, John.
stumbled across this in an email wh ich had reference to ARB in it, pretty sure it has nor been posted..
i have mentioned before that it would not bother me either way but as the topic gets a little emotional around here here is a link to voice your thoughts
Bull Bars Under Threat
i did fill the survey out as a good cause gets a donation
i wonder how many surveys will be filled out accurately
here are the comments i typed
I believe selecting the time of day for travel on out back roads reduces the events of animal strikes i.e. i have never hit an animal but than again i only travel between 8am and 4pm. i understand the thime of day is not suitable to all. I am normally on holidays when touring the outback therefore there is no rus and no need to travel at night
a front bar is handy to mount my winch, compressed air outlet, comms antenna and recovery points all of which i have used.
i do have a set of secondhand driving lights that have been fitted for two years but have not been used
at minimum the term bullbar needs to be dropped

Kelvin, in my response I kept it very matter of fact but strongly pointed out that I live within 4.5 hours of a major capital city and have to contend with roo/animal strikes on a daily basis, it's not just outback/remote area travel these incidents occur.
In fact I mentioned that the two biggest hits I've had were in the middle of the day and within 2-2.5 hours of Sydney's CBD.
I live in a major urban area.
Ive hit roos on the way to work.
It only takes me 8 minutes to drive from home to work and that includes getting through the gates at work.
never ceases to amaze me how when theres no roo warning on base everyone speeds round me. When the roo warning is in place everyons happy to sit behind me at whatever speed I want to do.

I filled out a survey on banning bullbars and in the comments section I emphasized that any politician or political party that tries to introduce this crap legislation will find thereselves out of a job and or in opposition, preferrably out of a job, that's what pollies understand, Regards Frank.
