Has any one been to Manar 4wd Park north west of kingaroy (qld)? I was there 2-3years ago and am pretty sure I saw a 6x6 in a shed. I dont get up that way all that often to re check though.

He owns/owned a few volvo C303s/306s. Never seen a land rover.

A Land Rover spending all it's time on a beach?

I can easily guess what the chassis on that would be like.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

His name is Eric Shingles (Top bloke)

6x6 Crew Cab at Cooma. Was told it was converted from early narrow cab.

Eric & I got stuck talking to a LRA mil rep (came from the old JRA development team) for a good hour or so. (Eric grabbed his business card )In all the excitement I didn't get any pictures better than this!

I'd never seen a LR diff quite like this at the time. Is this the BW type??

Forgot Eric had a 6x6. Apparently he has quite a collection. A real LR tragic. I haven't seen that type of rear cover plate mount for the difflock selector before, except on the US made Ox locker, but the difflock design internally would appear to resemble the McNamara or Ox locker design ,whereas 123Rovers difflock would be similar to the Maxidrive style. It would be interesting to know why none of the designs were chosen on production models because those vehicles with that limited suspension really needed difflocks.
    Wagoo.
