I know the Astons were definitely going up but I missed seeing them. There were hundreds and hundreds of cars...it's a bit hard to give a sense of the size of the event without seeing it personally.

I'll get some non Landies together for you But I did miss the Austins, the Daimlers, most of the Triumphs...not by choice, miniLSD was getting over-tired so we went to pester anyone with a dog and the horses on neighbouring land.

My pick of the show was a 1913 Rolls Royce, cream in colour, deep red leather seats and restored with absolutely no expence spared.
How the owner can even allow plebs to breathe near it is beyond me.
I was talking to a bloke by the Landies and I asked if he knew about the early 50s series vehicle the stealer Barbagallo has and he said he'd seen it not long ago.....parked in a shed with all sorts of junk just dumped on top of it!!!!!
Probably says a lot about either the owner or the morons that work for him.

    G'day LSD_AUTOMOTIVE

Thanks for the great pics of a selection of vehicles, it brings back memories both good and bad of those BMC/Leyland marques and of the hours spent dissecting/interpreting the parts catalogues for the repair parts for these vehicles, long before the advent of computers when everything was in books and supersession sheets

    cheers
