    Yes and no!

Yes ...SPEED is now available on Austar and no ...the opposition is not on free to air.

However the Australian FX-Superbike Championship which I run is on both and can be downloaded 24/7 from the Speedweek website as well.

    cheers,

Shame I don't have pay TV...but I don't watch that much. i enjoy speed week and of course moto gp and Casey, even when knocked down. I know it was an accident by reckon it was good riding by Val.

Bring back the Castrol 6hr I say.... I know the track is closed but Eastern Ck would do!!

We are seriously looking at running an endurance race in 2012 if that is any consolation.

The Castrol Six Hour was so popular because it was a production race, there is no such thing now and its doubtful whether or not bringing back production racing (meaning completely standard road going bikes) would be successful or not.

What I have done is put together a set of rules for the FX-Superbike class that is as close to Proddy racing as possible while allowing the bikes to still sound and look like race bikes. The crazy thing with 1000 cc sports bikes now is just about any of them you can buy today would suck the stripes off of the 500 cc GP bikes that were raced back in the good old days by the likes of Gardner and Co so there is no real need to hot them up as they are so bloody fast as is.

Anyway if you get a chance check out Speedweek on Sunday and let me know what you think of the racing.

    cheers,
    Terry
