A TRUE STORY ABOUT A WOMAN I KNOW

A mate of mine has a collection of Landrovers about 6 or 7 in the back yard and 5 in the front yard along with 3 other family cars, last Saturday afternoon we moved one from the front yard to another block, his wife knew nothing of the arrangements we had made to do this and was away when we loaded and moved it When John got home wife was home and gave him a serve , you take one away then replace it with another one He reply “no we just took the old station wagon away” Wife come back with “well where did the green SWB come from ?” John walks out onto the balcony to check, which one are you talking about he inquires? Wife points to the landie in question, “that one there” Oh it’s been there for about 3 years or more John replies, little wife does not want to believe him, Then the four kids get into the act even they had a hard time convincing Mum that its been there for so long. Just wish my cheese and kisses could loose count or my be just get ones that are all the same color and it would confuse her as she only recognizes cars by their color .

If that was my wife even photographic evidence and stat decs from neighbours wouldn't convince her, she knows what she knows and the rest of the world is wrong.

    Try this one.
We have a column heater with a thermostat and timer in one bedroom and a fan heater with thermostat on a timer in another, it doesn't matter how much I try and convince her, waving my Electrical Trades Certificate in her face, she will not believe that a 10amp column heater running for an hour to heat a room costs more than a thermostatically controlled 10amp fan heater that takes 5 minutes to heat the room. We aren't talking about having them on all day, just heating the room so you can get up in the morning without sufferring thermal shock !

She knows better, after all, she pays the bill and I am just an electrical fitter.
