Anyone brave enough to hazard a guess

Got my 93 Disco 1 200 Tdi in for repairs at the moment. She's running like a dream however swmbo (she who must be obeyed) has decided we are getting the drive coated and either the Disco stops leaking oil or it or me goes.

You'd think after 36 years of marriage she'd know better than that, if I have to go I will.

But before taking that drastic step I have the truck in for repairs. I took it in initially and they steam cleaned the underside, then after a couple of days running around I took it back and they worked out where it was leaking.

After waiting for the parts to arrive from fleabay UK he has now had it for two days supposedly fixing it all up.

For gods sake it's British and supposed to leak. Anyway back to the subject line, does anyone want to guess how long until she springs a new leak.

    Regards

    Martin

A $10 drip tray from SuperCheap full of sand fixed my "no oil on the new drive or it goes" problems...!!

The winner gets to tell swmbo they won and it's leaking again.

Well, it's a '93 model... The only way to stop it leaking is draining all the fluids before entering the driveway. Otherwise you'll have drip marks again in no time at all.

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

It's good to see that you're getting the Disco sorted before you head off into the desert.

My thoughts exactly, got her back now. So far, so good, it's been nearly three hours. Overnight will tell the tale.
