    ARB Twin Motor On-Board Air

    Not sure if anyone has seen these yet, but ARB have now released a twin motor version of their compressor.

    Specs are;

    Supply Voltage: 12V
    Current Draw: 28A
    Air Flow 0psi: 150.2l/m or 5.30cfm
    Current Load: 51A
    Air Flow 29psi: 132l/m or 4.62cfm
    Duty Cycle: 100%

    On Board version $540

    They also do a portable version in case with 4.0litre air tank.

    Look good, I was looking at them in the current ARB mag almost fell of my seat when I seen the prices though An onboard set up with an air tank would be ideal

    That is exactly what I am looking at.

    Install the compressor under the bonnet and a 9 litre air tank up the back.

    Slightly less think.

    I paid about that for the single portable unit in box with hose etc.

    I almost fell off my chair at the amp draw under load! 52A!!! Pumping up 35s would be a bit of a strain on my poor alternator that's for sure.

    It does look pretty trick though. Have you looked at the Warn compressors? They are also expensive but again, impressive!

    Would they have the capacity to reseat a tyre on an alloy rim?

    I think if you ran an air tank you possibly could.

    I know on the old 255/55/18 road tyres on the disco I could get them to reseat and take air with a super cheap compressor.

    The specs look good but a very big unit.
