I choose not to own a credit card and always do pay cash. Bit hard for me to do it over the phone.

People hate tolls and were they are seen as unfair as this on would be the electoral backlash. Remenber the toll on the highway on the sunshine coast near Maroochydore. There was a huge public movement against it, which caused on of the major parties to make it the platform to remove the toll. They took the seat at the next election.
after starting this thread, I did wonder if this was a "strawman" in order to get people to more readily accept the carbon tax.

Okay, I admit it, I do not even have a mobile phone, and I am over the hill--we not over the hill in my mind, I was born in November 1948.

But I do use the internet, and a digital SLR, so have sort of kept up in some areas.

The thing I do not have is the MONEY to buy an Macbook Air that I want & badly need [my computer is on its last legs & I am a pensioner], but also I do not have any debt hanging over my head. Yes I understand a debit card will not put me in debt.
