Awesome finish! I hope this doesn't spark the 427 debate though. Shame HSV never made them, even if in the VE.

Team orders is not only in the V8 here, it happens in the last F1 race when Mark Webber ignored Red Bull team orders during the British Grand Prix overnight in a last-ditch bid to take second place from Sebastian Vettel.
im in the process of teaching SWMBO about v8 supacars as she now works for walkingshaw/hrt racing hsv and lotus . im suprised, she is enjoying the races , cant wait for the island and sandown:D t.c
People actually still watch the Supertaxis?

I do remember the old days, and I love todays V8's - the racing is closer. Its not about ratings, apparently sevens ratings drop 17% as soon as Whincup takes the lead.
I'm also surprised that the series is sustainable. The teams rely heavily on sponsorship to the tune of many millions per year.We have a relatively tiny population of motorsport enthusiasts in OZ, and technically minded enthusiasts know that the cars, both Holden and Ford have more in common with each other than they do to their production namesakes, so probably little interest among them.International enthusiasts can't identify with Holden/Falcon, so where does the V8 supercar circus support base come from to give the sponsors an adequate return on investment ? Surely they are not all Bogans?
Wagoo.
