We carried a Portabote around for years. It was the early model, sharp at both ends. Used it in the Jardine to go outside the mouth and caught a bunch of Queenfish. Feels funny in open water as very flexible and wobbles around. The self flexing hinge material has got very stiff with age and now I find it virtually impossible to open and dont use it any more. It also got punctured in the rollover and havnt bothered to fix it.
For the new camper I am building a pair of alloy boxes 1200 x 1200 that will nest for storage and lock together for a boat 1200 x 2400. Also more secure in Puk Puk habitat.
